Community Involvement

Aside from my Family Law practice, I am also deeply involved in my community. Over the years, in addition to serving on a variety of Boards with bar associations and other legal-related organizations (and the Johnson County Law Library), I have for the past 8 years served as a City Councilmember at Prairie Village, Kansas. During my tenure on the Prairie Village Council, I have consistently worked to ensure that all voices are heard and all thoughtful perspectives are considered.

In the last few years, Prairie Village local government has been under attack -- much as most other local governments have been over the past few years. I was inspired to run for City Council in 2018 as a result of the threats against Good Government for ALL. Those threats have increased since 2021, and my commitment to protect everyone rather than give in to those who want to suppress others' input with threats and other abusive tactics. We can and should be better. Prairie Village can and should continue to be a shining star of Community, recognized as forward-thinking and as an inclusive city. Please join with me in that endeavor and volunteer or contribute.
